With incessant power cuts my my broadband router is hardly functional. Tata Photon is my fallback option. Huawei EC 156 on Ubuntu 12.04 proved to be quite tricky. Unlike in the case of Windows or Mac OS, there is no autorun mode pops the installer/dialer. Tried everything under the sun with little success.
